How to partially close a trade on DXtrade

Taking partial profits in DXtrade involves modifying your existing trade to close a portion of the position. Follow these steps to modify:

  1. Open the DXtrade Platform:

    • Log in to your DXtrade account and open the trading platform.
  2. Navigate to the Positions Tab:

    • Locate the Positions tab or section, which typically displays your current open positions.
  3. Identify the Position to Modify:

    • Identify the specific open position from which you want to take partial profits.
  4. Right-Click on the Position:

    • Right-click on the open position. This action should open a context menu with various options.
  5. Select 'Modify Position' or 'Modify Order':

    • Look for an option like 'Modify Position' or 'Modify Order' in the context menu and select it. This will open a window or dialog allowing you to adjust the trade parameters.
  6. Locate the Quantity or Volume Field:

    • Inside the 'Modify Position' or 'Modify Order' window, look for the field related to the quantity or volume of the position.
  7. Adjust the Quantity:

    • Adjust the quantity to represent the partial size you want to close. For example, if you have 10 lots and want to close 3 lots, adjust the quantity to 7.
  8. Review and Confirm:

    • Review the changes to ensure accuracy. Some platforms may require you to confirm the modifications before they take effect.
  9. Submit Changes:
